Count Me In

If you consider St Paul’s to be your church, then ‘Count Me In’ is for you!
RuthBushyager-7
Our vision at St Paul's is "to be a growing community of grace". We seek to continue to grow numerically and in the depth of our experience of God’s grace; and growing in the ways that we impact our town and wider world for good.  There are many people who are part of St Paul’s church on some level and ‘Count Me In’ aims to help each person take a step in their membership of the St Paul’s community.  To see our vision become a reality we are inviting everyone to membership of the church through regularly connecting with God and each other in worship, serving in some way, and giving financially to the church.

If you already connect, serve, and give - then thank you!  If you are not currently a member, or if you do one or two of these things, I would love to invite you to take a step towards belonging more fully to the St Paul’s community. Please fill in the response form and be part of the adventure of this next chapter in our story.

Connect

There are many ways to connect with God in worship - and a focus for us is our Sunday services.  If you currently come once a term or month, why not commit to coming once a fortnight and see the difference it makes to your relationship with God.

We also grow in faith by connecting with each other, and have lots of small groups and courses where you can enjoy community, establish friendships, and grow in understanding and living the Christian faith.

We have small groups and courses of all kinds: some meet during the day, others in the evening; some are weekly, others less frequent.  Many groups are a mixture of ages and life stages, others are for mums, for cyclists and those new to faith.  We have a virtual  e-group for those who cannot make meetings.  Trying out a course or group does not commit you for ever!  You can give it a go and find the right group for you.

Serve

There are hundreds of ways to serve in some way to be part of St Paul’s church, and there really is a role to suit everyone, however much time you do or do not have.  Responding to say ‘Count Me In’ to serve in some way does not commit you to a lifetime on a rota!  But as we serve, even in what appears to be a small way, we discover that this grows our faith, builds community and glorifies God.

You’ll see our teams on the response form.  If you already serve on a team - thank you. Please be encouraged to re-commit or maybe to try something new.  If you do not currently serve, please let us help find just the right role for you to try out.

Give

Jesus taught about giving all the time - not because he was fixated on money but because each of us is liberated to fearless generosity as we respond to the generosity of God towards us.

It costs about £300,000 to run St Paul’s each year, and we need to raise that amount ourselves - we do not get any outside funding. This is an average of £30 per household per week.

’Count Me In’ is an invitation to everyone to prayerfully consider what proportion of their income to give regularly, preferably by standing order to

St Paul’s Church (account number 00023425, sort code 40-52-40)

Your response on the form will help us with our financial planning.  The value of donations from UK taxpayers can be increased by 25% if you indicate agreement on the form.

Your giving is kept confidential to the Church Treasurer and Gift Aid Administrator and your information is stored securely and with utmost discretion. Thank you so much for considering your giving.

Our Gracious God,
You alone bring growth to your Church.
As we consider our membership of St Paul’s
may we joyfully say “Count Me In!”
By your Holy Spirit,
may we be a growing community of grace
as we connect, serve, and give
to bring you glory
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen
