Meet the Team

We recognise that our staff are the key resources in our School, providing the quality teaching and learning that underpins our provision. It is important to us that our staff are kind, caring and mature people who have a love for children and a commitment to the development of the Nursery. So who are we…

Jacquie Moulder  -  Head Teacher

I have been at the Nursery since February 2015.  I started my teaching career at Secondary level, as a Modern Languages teacher and Head of Department, and also in a Pastoral role.  I then moved to Early Years’ through a children’s Music Group I ran when my friend was on Maternity Leave.  This ignited a love of the younger children so I continued studying to further my knowledge and understanding of the role of Early Years and its importance: achieving a post graduate EYPS.

Jacquie

My children went to St Paul’s Nursery and moved on to St. Paul’s Primary and are now at the Ashcombe.  I am proud to be part of the Team I work with and its outstanding status.

My particular passion is Communication and Language and in particular the way music can develop confidence and literacy in children; by using nonsense rhymes and rhythmic tones we can extend the children’s love of languages: what I lack in tonality, I make up for in enthusiasm!  We have a great wealth of languages in our Nursery and I love the fact the children are exposed to these and diverse cultures and heritages which we are able to celebrate.

I am also a Forest School Leader, through the The Wildlife Trust, having gained my Level 3 qualification in January 2020. This means our setting is an accredited Forest School.

Katie Davis - Deputy Head Teacher Katie

I am qualified primary school teacher and have previously taught reception aged children.  I have also spent time teaching singing and drama toddler groups locally, I have a keen interest in expressive arts and design. My own 3 children have all attended the Nursery so I am very happy to be part of the team.  I love working with young children and watching them develop and grow in confidence.

Juliette Lister - Senior Nursery Practitioner

JulietteI have always had a love for teaching children, and after qualifying as a primary school teacher I taught locally for many years. All 3 of my children began their journey of learning at St Paul’s Church Nursery School, so it is a real privilege to now be part of the team. I love seeing the younger children join our close-knit nursery family, and then blossom into older children ready for big school when they leave. I enjoy nurturing their individual needs and in particular broadening their world through Forest School and outdoor learning.

Nicola Breen - Nursery Practitioner

NicolaI joined St. Paul's Nursery in 2014 after my son left the Nursery to go to school.  It is such a privilege to be in Early Years Education, getting to know the children, seeing their progress and loving how they make me smile every day!  As a Nursery Assistant I love being involved in all aspects of the planning, preparation and activities and especially loving assisting with the development of our Forest School sessions.

Charlotte Sale - Nursery Practitioner

CharlotteI have worked in Early Years settings for many years. I started off in a nursery working with all ages from 3 months all the way up to pre school. I loved my time there and that’s where I realised I loved working with children. I went on to become a nanny for a family of 3 children which was a wonderful four years. Once I had my first child I went onto Childminding which worked so well for me as I could stay at home with my first child but carry on working in the Early Years.
All 3 of my children have attended St. Paul’s nursery, I have loved watching them thrive here. I recently started volunteering at the nursery which has been a joy. I am so excited to be now working here too.

Mark Williams - Senior Nursery Practitioner

MarkMy daughters both attended St. Paul's Church Nursery and I was able to volunteer during that time.  I was also elected parent representative and regularly attended school committee meetings.  This inspired me to study for my level 3 Early Years Educator.  This qualification is wide-ranging, covering children's development, safeguarding their welfare and communication. I feel being a man in Early Years' Provision adds a valuable element to the development of children.

We also employ a Treasurer/Bookkeeper, an Administrator and also have regular volunteers from the Church
Community who are a valuable asset to our team.

Naomi Bailey - Administrator20210801 193936

I am the most recent addition to the Nursery having sent the last of my children to St Paul's School and what a privilege it is to be here! It was an absolute blessing to have seen all four of my children journey with such enjoyment through St. Paul's Nursery. Now it is an equal pleasure to pay the blessing forward through serving the church and community as part of this wonderful nursery team.
Having a love and a passion for people, please do not hesitate to contact me as your first port of call if you have any queries. I am always here to help.

Tara Laws - Nursery Treasurer and Bookkeeper

Tara
I joined the nursery in 2017 as the Bookkeeper/Treasurer, I have lived in Dorking for 5 years and when my child began attending the nursery and the position became available I was interested in being involved and using my previous experience in Management Services to work with Tanya and the Management Committee to make the best use of our finances.  I work closely with Tanya to fix a budget and ensure the Nursery is well resourced and staffed.  I will be your first port of call if you have any questions about your funding or billing.
