Senior Operations Manager at St Paul’s Church, Dorking

We are looking for a new Senior Operations Manager to lead our church operations function at both a strategic and management level to support the development and delivery of St Paul’s vision, mission and ministry.  This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operations leader to help turn St Paul’s vision into reality as we enter a new season of church life.
 
The Senior Operations Manager will work closely with the Vicar and senior leadership team to oversee the operations function in all aspects of church life and seasons of the church calendar.  This will include leading the operations team, helping implement our vision and providing specialist input in the following key areas of responsibility:
 
• Leading and managing the Operations and Communications team
• Strategy including planning and implementation
• Supporting the wider staff team in delivering projects, events and organisational objectives
• Finance
• HR
• Buildings and facilities oversight
• Safeguarding / Health and safety
• Church of England administration and governance
• ICT and systems including data protection
• Communications
 
The successful applicant should have a proven track record of successful operational leadership - ideally in a church or charity - developing strategy and managing and monitoring its implementation. They will also need expertise in a range of operational disciplines (with access to specialist input if needed). Candidates need to be clear thinking, confident Christian leaders who are good communicators with mature people skills, able to influence, prioritise and delegate in a dynamic church environment.

Operations Administrator at St Paul’s Church, Dorking (Part-time)

We are a small, dynamic staff team looking for a gifted administrator to help deliver administrative and operational support to the church.  The Operations Administrator will work closely with the Senior Operations Manager to provide administrative support to the operations and communications functions of the church.  The role will include responsibility for day-to-day facilities management and administration.  This is an excellent part-time opportunity for an experienced administrator to play their part in implementing our vision as we enter a new season of church life.
 
The successful applicant should have a proven track record of providing excellent administrative support.  The applicant should be well organised and proficient in computer literacy and in using MS and Google software packages.  They should have a “can do” attitude and the ability to thrive in an active working environment.
