Introducing the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS)
Do you currently give regularly to St Paul’s? Would you like to start giving regularly? If the answer is yes to either of those, we’d love you to check out a new giving method – the Parish Giving Scheme.
As a church we’re dependent on the generous giving of our members. Thank you if you give regularly and thank you for continuing to give through this challenging year. If you don’t yet give financially, we’d love to invite you to. Giving is part of following Jesus, it’s one way we respond to all God has given us in Christ, and it’s a great way to a be a part of everything we do as a church.
If you currently give by regular standing order or you would like to start, we would love you to switch to or start using the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS). This has been set up by the Church of England and it’s a free, efficient and safe way to give online. Switching should take 10-15 minutes.
We want you to switch for three reasons:

  1. PGS will improve our cashflow as we receive gift aid on your donations faster. Givers also have easy access to gift aid reports for tax returns.
  2. PGS will significantly reduce our finance admin and hopefully yours too.
  3. PGS gives you the option to set your gift to increase each year by the rate of inflation. This helps protect the value of your gift and means we have a solid financial platform for growing our mission and ministry.

If you would like to switch, check out our step-by-step guide here.
If you would like to switch, but aren’t comfortable doing so online please email treasurer@stpaulsdorking.org.uk or drop a note into the church and we can support you.  You can also switch to PGS via phone or post.
If you would like more info visit www.parishgiving.org.uk/donors/why-give-through-the-pgs/ or email treasurer@stpaulsdorking.org.uk

Your giving matters now, more than ever!

In the face of this global crisis, we are doing everything we can to offer help to those who need it.  Because of your support we can continue to run our Sunday services and children's & youth work online.  we are able to help those most vulnerable in our community through our pastoral care team and providing a range of practical and financial support for those who need it both locally in Dorking and further afield through our World Church links.  Support is also being given through Dorking Foodbank and Debt Counselling service, CAP.

So much of what we do at St Paul's is made possible by your giving,
Note: if you are struggling financially due to the crisis please feel under no pressure to give
Thank You.

Other Ways to give:
  • payroll giving (through your employer's Give As You Earn scheme).
  • from a charity account (CAF, Stewardship, Charities Trust etc) by standing order, online transfer or voucher.
  • cash or cheque in the offertory box at the back of church (UK taxpayers please use a Gift Aid envelope).
If you are a UK taxpayer, we can significantly increase your contribution by reclaiming tax under the Gift Aid scheme at no additional cost to you. Please complete a Gift Aid Form and return to the Gift Aid Secretary, c/o St Paul's Church Office.  The declaration covers all donations made in any form (standing order, cheques, cash) as long as they can be identified as coming from you.
